Different types of resources for putting lock in SQL Server

The following are various types of resources in SQL Server.

They are

  1. RID (Row ID)   —> Put the lock at row level on a table.
  2. Key                    —->Put the lock on particular index key.
  3. Page                 —–>Put the lock on particular Page.
  4. Extent             —–> Put the lock on particular extent.
  5. Table               —–>Put the lock on entire table.
  6. Database        ——>Put the lock on entire database (DB).
